Preserving Heritage Through Community Empowerment
The foundation works with a local kindergarten and daycare by providing human resource support and facilitating material and in-kind assistance. This includes:
- Channeling donations such as school materials and basic supplies
- Supporting volunteer teachers and helpers
- Assisting with food support where needed
This work is carried out in collaboration with local caregivers and educators, particularly in contexts where children come from economically vulnerable backgrounds, including single-parent households and orphaned children.

Youth & Women Empowerment
By engaging young people and women in cultural and community-based initiatives, the foundation supports participation, skills-sharing, and creative confidence. These efforts recognise the central role of women and youth in sustaining both cultural life and community wellbeing.
Environmental Awareness & Cultural Sustainability
The foundation recognises the close relationship between culture, land, and natural resources. Cultural practice, livelihood, and environmental care are understood as interconnected rather than separate concerns.
Through the Zawose farm, the foundation periodically engages community members, artists, and residents in practical learning around sustainable farming, environmental conservation, and responsible use of natural resources. These activities focus on everyday practices that support both cultural continuity and long-term wellbeing.
Training and knowledge-sharing emphasise:
- Sustainable use of land for food and livelihood
- Environmentally responsible sourcing of materials used in cultural production and instrument making
- Awareness of conservation practices that protect soil, water, and local ecosystems
The farm serves as a living space for learning by doing, where people are encouraged to use the land in ways that sustain their lives while preserving resources for future generations.
